Architect/Engineer (U.S. Knowledge Necessary)

Freelance Architect / Architectural & Structural Designer – Container & Barn Houses We are looking for an experienced architect/designer with strong expertise in container homes and barn houses for a long-term partnership. The ideal freelancer should be capable of developing complete architectural and structural drawing sets from concept through construction documentation, specifically for projects intended for the U.S. market.

Requirements

* Proven experience designing shipping container homes and barn houses * Ability to prepare full architectural sets, including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and construction drawings * Ability to prepare or coordinate complete structural drawing sets, including foundation, framing, connections, and structural details * Strong understanding of U.S. building codes, construction practices, and permitting requirements * Must have previous experience working with U.S.-based clients or projects * Experience designing for different U.S. jurisdictions is a strong advantage * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar professional software * Ability to produce accurate, detailed, construction-ready drawings * Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Good communication and reliable turnaround times To Apply: Please send: * Your portfolio, particularly container homes and barn houses * Examples of full architectural + structural sets you have completed * Examples of projects completed for U.S. clients * Your experience with U.S. codes and permitting * Software you use * Hourly/project rates * Availability and typical turnaround time We are specifically looking for someone who can become a reliable long-term partner and handle recurring residential projects rather than a one-time freelancer.
