HR Specialist Needed to Conduct a Disciplinary Hearing in the UK

We need an HR consultant to conduct a face-to-face disciplinary hearing for gross misconduct at 1pm on 11 September 2026 in Derby (DE23 6BW) UK for a care home. The investigation has been completed and the employee notified about the outcome and the disciplinary hearing. The above date and time was agreed with the employee last week. The disciplinary officer who was assigned the role has some urgent personal commitments on that date, hence looking for a new person. The employee is demanding an interpreter and we are trying to get one.

The role

involves managing the hearing process, ensuring fairness and compliance, and providing clear guidance throughout the session. Please have experience in handling sensitive HR matters and be available on the specified date. However, the employee may exert their right to change the above date in the last minute, citing various reasons. Hence the disciplinary officer is required to show some flexibility in that regard. You are required to conduct the face to face hearing on 11 September at 1pm, undertake all the pre disciplinary communication with the employee including informing the employee about the appointment of the new disciplinary officer, advice and guide the organisation as needed.
