About the job

I have a new commercial build going up in League City, TX and I need a landscape plan that is both aesthetically striking and genuinely sustainable. Because the site will serve as a highly visible retail frontage, the design has to hit three priorities at once: meet city code, reinforce our brand’s eco-friendly message, and keep long-term maintenance costs in check. My vision is firmly Sustainable / Eco-friendly. I want the core palette to rely on Native Texas plants—shrubs, flowering perennials, and accent grasses that can handle our Gulf Coast climate with minimal irrigation. Beyond the plant list, I’m open to thoughtful water-saving ideas such as rain gardens, bioswales, or even rainwater harvesting features if they fit the layout and budget. Lighting should also lean energy-efficient and dark-sky compliant. Because the city requires stamped documents, you must hold a current Texas Landscape Architect license and be able to sign and seal the drawings.
