About the job

The project centres on a multi-layer PCB that will drive a forthcoming medical device and must operate cleanly across the 20 kHz – 3 MHz band. I already have the core schematic; what I need now is expert layout, stack-up definition, and routing that meet stringent RF EMI/EMC requirements so the board sails through pre-compliance testing. You will shape the layer stack, place and route all high-speed and analogue lines, define controlled-impedance traces, and plan return-path strategy to minimise emissions and susceptibility. Particular attention should be paid to: • Low-frequency RF front-end sections (20 kHz-3 MHz) • Isolation and creepage/clearance rules for medical-grade safety • Proper partitioning of analogue, digital, and power domains • Filter, shielding, and ground strategy for EMC Deliverables • Editable design files (Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro preferred) • Gerbers, drill files, and IPC-356 netlist • Layer stack-up with impedance calculations • Manufacturing drawings and assembly outputs • Brief compliance report outlining EMI/EMC design measures I will review the layout against our medical-device checklist; the milestone is accepted once DFM/DFT feedback from the board house is incorporated and the design passes in-house EMC pre-scan.
