About the job

My site took a nosedive in Google right after I left one company and joined their closest competitor. I kept everything white-hat on my end, yet rankings collapsed and organic traffic fell off a cliff. My main goal is to identify any SEO penalties in play and to understand whether a negative-SEO campaign is responsible. Here’s the situation you’ll walk into: • Sudden, sharp drop in organic sessions confirmed in Google Analytics and Search Console. • No on-page changes or technical issues coincide with the drop. • Strong suspicion of competitor-driven sabotage—potential link-spam blasts, toxic redirects or other black-hat tricks. I need someone who truly knows the darker side of search—ideally a practitioner who has both launched and reversed aggressive tactics—so we can spot exactly what was done and map out a clean-up or counter-strategy. Deliverables 1. Comprehensive backlink and penalty audit (using tools such as Ahrefs, Majestic, GSC, Screaming Frog). 2. Clear report outlining any manual or algorithmic penalties, toxic link schemes, or other hostile actions found. 3. 30-minute consultation call to walk through findings, answer questions, and outline immediate next steps (disavow file prep, reconsideration request advice, or protective measures). Acceptance Criteria • Evidence-based explanation for the ranking drop, with screenshots or export files to support conclusions. • Actionable recommendations I can implement right away, prioritised by impact and effort. If you’re versed in black-hat techniques and can spot them in the wild, I’m ready to schedule the audit and pay for your expertise.
