About the job

I have a few vertical cracks in a poured-concrete basement wall and my chief concern is structural integrity. At this point I am not sure if the cracks are widening, so I need a clear, professional evaluation and guidance on what to do next. Scope of work • Perform a detailed on-site inspection (or a high-resolution remote walkthrough if distance makes that necessary). • Measure and photograph each crack, recording width at multiple points and noting any signs of movement, settlement, bowing, or moisture. • Determine whether the cracks are stable or active and explain the underlying cause. • Recommend specific next steps such as continued monitoring, epoxy injection, carbon-fiber reinforcement, underpinning, or other repairs, ranked by urgency. • Deliver a concise written report within three business days of the inspection. Acceptance criteria • Report clearly addresses current structural stability, likelihood of progression, and safety implications. • Includes a crack map, photographs, and measurement data. • Provides actionable, prioritized recommendations and an estimated repair timeline. Proficiency with poured-concrete foundations, crack width gauges, laser levels, and current ASCE evaluation guidelines is important. If you can stamp the report or carry professional liability coverage, please mention it in your proposal.
