About the job

We are seeking a Texas-licensed Professional Engineer with electrical, mechanical, industrial, or energy experience to independently review predominant-use studies prepared for manufacturing facilities in Texas. We perform the facility survey and prepare the initial study, including equipment inventory, nameplate information, photographs, utility billing history, equipment HP/kW ratings, efficiency assumptions, load/duty factors, annual operating hours, calculated annual energy consumption, and reconciliation to actual utility usage. Your responsibility will be to independently review the study methodology and calculations, identify any corrections or additional documentation you believe are necessary, and certify/sign the completed study if you determine it is accurate and appropriate. Initial Project • Review completed Texas predominant-use study • Review equipment calculations and assumptions • Review reconciliation to 12 months of actual utility consumption • Request revisions or supporting documentation as needed • Provide appropriate engineering certification/signature upon approval Preferred Qualifications • Current Texas PE license • Electrical, mechanical, industrial, energy, or manufacturing experience • Familiarity with industrial equipment and energy-consumption calculations • Predominant-use study or Texas manufacturing sales-tax experience is preferred but not required We expect this to become a recurring relationship, with multiple Texas manufacturing facilities requiring review.
