About the job

I have a 13-minute short film in the works and I need a clear, Unreal Engine based previz to help my team lock story beats and camera language before we step onto set. The piece is largely driven by dramatic scenes, so the emphasis is on timing, eyelines, and emotional pacing rather than heavy VFX or stunt choreography. Here’s what I’m after: basic blocking of characters, key camera moves, and rough environmental placement under a consistent natural-daylight look. Think of it as a clean animatic that lets us see where our actors are, how the lens will travel, and how long each moment breathes. No need yet for refined character animation, facial acting, or fully dressed sets—grey-box architecture and stock mannequins are totally fine as long as scale and movement feel believable. I’ll provide: • The screenplay with shot numbers and dialogue cues • A shot-list and overheads for each setup • Reference clips for pacing and mood You’ll deliver: • An Unreal Engine project file (UE4 or UE5—whichever you prefer) • A rendered playblast/sequence in 24 fps H.264 or ProRes that runs the full 13 minutes • A simple shot breakdown so we can match Unreal sequence names to our shot list Acceptance criteria: all scripted shots represented, camera cuts matching the shot list within ±2 seconds of the indicated durations, and lighting set to a neutral daylight HDRI so exposure stays consistent from scene to scene. Turnaround is flexible within reason, but I’d love a first pass in two weeks so we can begin editorial notes. Looking forward to collaborating and shaping this story together in Unreal.
