About the job

I need an experienced Siemens specialist to review, modify, and extend the PLC logic on an active production line. All programming will be done in TIA Portal, and the work includes: • Analysing the current STEP 7 code to spot inefficiencies or faults. • Implementing new control sequences and safety interlocks in accordance with our existing documentation. • Testing the revised logic with live I/O simulations before we deploy on-site. • Generating concise comments and a change log so future maintenance is straightforward. You will have remote access to the CPU (S7-1500 series) through a secure VPN, plus online support from our on-site technician during download and commissioning. Familiarity with industrial networks such as PROFINET and Modbus TCP is useful because the PLC exchanges data with drives, flowmeters, and an existing SCADA layer. I will provide the plant P&ID, tag list, and the latest project archive once we start. Please outline similar Siemens projects you have completed and confirm your availability for quick turnaround troubleshooting should unexpected faults arise after the first download.
