About the job

New patient files come in every day and I need your help keeping the front-end of my practice running smoothly. Your focus will be twofold: 1. Capture complete, error-free medical intake information. 2. Verify each patient’s insurance benefits before the visit. Here is how the workflow looks on a typical day: • Incoming patient details land in our secure email or patient portal. • You log into Athena to enter demographics, medical history, and upload ID/insurance cards. • Through Availity (or a comparable eligibility tool) you confirm coverage, note co-pay, deductible, and any auth requirements, then record those notes back in the EMR. • A concise spreadsheet or task report is sent to me before close of business so I know which charts are ready and which need follow-up. Accuracy, clear written communication, and strict HIPAA compliance are essential. Familiarity with U.S. insurance terminology (PPO, HMO, deductible, etc.) will make the job much easier. If you also feel comfortable scheduling appointments when needed, let me know—that would be a welcome bonus. I’d like to start with a short paid trial of 10–15 patient files. If we both feel it’s a fit, we can move to a steady daily volume. Tell me about any previous experience with intake, insurance verification, or EMR systems when you submit your proposal so I can get a sense of your workflow right away.
