About the job

My current Safe Work Method Statements and related policy documents have grown inconsistent over time, and several no longer align with the latest workplace safety regulations. I need the entire set re-structured with one clear objective: improving compliance. Legal obligations take precedence over internal preferences or broader industry standards, so every change must be mapped directly to the relevant Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice that govern workplace safety. Scope • Audit all existing SWMS, policies and procedures to pinpoint gaps against current workplace safety regulations. • Redraft or consolidate documents so language is unambiguous, section flow is logical and duplication is removed. • Build a concise master register showing each SWMS, its revision date, and the specific legislative references it satisfies. • Supply fresh templates that make future updates simple without compromising compliance. Acceptance criteria 1. Each revised document clearly cites the exact workplace safety regulation(s) it satisfies. 2. No conflicting instructions remain across the document set. 3. Master register delivered in both Excel and PDF. If you have proven experience aligning safety management systems with statutory requirements and can turn dense legal text into user-friendly procedures, I’m ready to move forward straight away.
