OSP Fiber Network Design

Seeking an experienced freelance OSP Fiber Design Specialist to support telecommunications construction projects. The ideal candidate has experience reviewing and updating aerial and underground fiber construction drawings using Bluebeam Revu.

Responsibilities

include interpreting field redlines, updating construction prints and as-builts, verifying fiber footage and routes, identifying poles, handholes, conduit, bores and road crossings, and completing accurate quantity takeoffs. Experience should include: OSP fiber and telecommunications construction Bluebeam Revu Aerial and underground fiber Construction drawings and plan interpretation Field redlines and as-built documentation Fiber footage and quantity takeoffs Poles, handholes, conduit and directional bores QA/QC of completed drawings Excel or CSV production reports AutoCAD and/or GIS experience is a plus The freelancer must be able to identify discrepancies or missing field information and flag questionable items for review rather than making assumptions. Preferred: Previous experience supporting U.S.-based telecom, broadband, FTTH, or fiber construction projects.
