Sobre el empleo

I need a versatile professional based in Uruguay who can both shoot and cut fast-turnaround news pieces while acting as an on-the-ground fixer. The assignment centres on outdoor events that will feed directly into international TV news bulletins, so solid ENG experience and a sharp journalistic eye are essential. You will: • Capture broadcast-quality footage of scheduled outdoor happenings (rallies, press calls, breaking stories—whatever the news cycle throws up) using your own camera, audio kit and basic run-and-gun accessories. • Handle local logistics—scouting safe vantage points, arranging access, dealing with police or organisers, securing release forms and providing informal translation between English and Spanish when needed. • Edit the material into a clean, ready-to-air package: colour-corrected, properly mixed, with lower thirds and simple graphics that match the client house style. Delivery format will be 1080p, 50 Mbps, H.264 plus separate audio stems. Raw rushes must also be uploaded. Acceptance criteria 1. All footage is steady, well-exposed and free of copyrighted music. 2. Edited piece runs 2–3 minutes, meets broadcast loudness standards and is delivered within 24 hours of filming. 3. Release forms and location notes accompany the final files. If you’re quick-thinking, resourceful and thrive on live news pressure, I’d like to hear how you’d tackle a developing story in Montevideo—or anywhere the assignment leads within Uruguay.
