À propos de l'offre

# Minecraft Stalker — Mod Commission Brief, i want to get a Quote, not sure if i'll go through with this yet. ## Concept I want an original Minecraft horror mod featuring a creature called **The Stalker**. The main goal is to recreate the *feeling* of the Stalker from Twixxel's Minecraft horror videos as a **real, playable Minecraft entity**, rather than a video-editing effect. The most important aspect is that **it should NOT look like Minecraft.** Minecraft's normal mobs are blocky and stylized. The Stalker should deliberately contrast with that visual style, making the player think: > "Why the fuck does that thing look like it belongs in a completely different game?" The Stalker should focus on psychological horror, observation, uncertainty and rare encounters rather than simply attacking the player. --- ## Visual Design * Custom, non-blocky creature model * Smooth/high-detail geometry * Unnatural humanoid/creature proportions * Long limbs and an unsettling silhouette * Realistic/detailed texture rather than standard Minecraft pixel art * Should look visually incompatible with vanilla Minecraft * Custom animations * Movement should feel organic and unnatural rather than like a normal Minecraft mob * Minimal/no conventional idle animation * Should be capable of standing completely still for long periods The creature should be recognizable from its silhouette alone. --- ## Behaviour / AI The Stalker should behave more like a horror entity than a conventional hostile mob. ### Observation It should occasionally appear at a distance and simply watch the player. Possible locations: * Behind trees * On hills * Across valleys * In caves * Behind structures * At the edge of render distance * Partially hidden behind terrain It should not constantly spawn directly next to the player. ### Line of Sight The Stalker should have sophisticated line-of-sight behaviour. Examples: * If the player notices it, it may remain still. * If the player looks away and looks back, it may have moved. * It can reposition itself when it is no longer being observed. * It should preferentially move while hidden from the player's view. * It should use terrain and environmental objects for concealment where possible. ### Escalation Encounters should become progressively more threatening. Early encounters: * Extremely distant sightings * Very short appearances * Little/no audio * No direct interaction Later encounters: * Appears closer * Remains visible for longer * Follows the player's general movement * Appears in locations the player previously passed * Begins appearing around the player's base * Potentially becomes aggressive under specific conditions The player should never immediately know exactly what the Stalker is capable of. --- ## Spawning The Stalker should be: * Rare * Difficult to predict * Preferably active at night * Configurable through a config file Configurable options should include things such as: * Spawn chance * Minimum distance from player * Maximum distance * Encounter frequency * Aggression * Detection range * Whether it can appear during daytime * Whether it can appear near player structures * Multiplayer behaviour I do NOT want it spawning constantly. A player should be able to play Minecraft for a while without seeing it. --- ## Audio Audio is extremely important. The Stalker should have subtle environmental audio rather than constantly making monster noises. I want **"Cannibal Animal" by Michigan** to be used as the Stalker's signature music/audio cue, assuming I have the necessary rights/permission to distribute it with the mod. The music should not simply play at full volume immediately. Ideally: * Very distant/quiet at first * Gradually becomes more noticeable * Volume/direction responds to distance * Can stop abruptly * Should not trigger every time the Stalker appears * Should be possible to disable/change through configuration If using the actual song is legally problematic, implement the audio system so that I can supply the audio file myself. --- ## Horror Philosophy The Stalker should NOT behave like a normal Minecraft monster. Avoid: * Constant chasing * Constant attacks * Cheap jumpscares * Spawning directly in front of the player * Excessive screaming/noise * Obvious AI patterns * Turning it into a normal boss fight The horror should come from: **"I don't know if I'm being watched."** The player should sometimes wonder whether they actually saw something. --- ## Performance The mod should be reasonably optimized. The Stalker should not: * Cause major FPS drops * Constantly run expensive AI calculations * Spawn huge numbers of entities * Require extremely powerful hardware The AI should preferably use efficient checks for things like: * Distance * Line of sight * Player visibility * Pathfinding * Encounter state --- ## Multiplayer If feasible, make the Stalker multiplayer-compatible. Ideally: * Each player can potentially have their own encounter state. * Other players may or may not be able to see the Stalker depending on the encounter. * Server/client synchronization should be handled properly. If multiplayer support significantly increases development time, make it optional. --- ## Technical Requirements Before starting development, please confirm: * Minecraft version * Mod loader (Fabric/Forge/NeoForge) * Java version * Client/server requirements * Required dependencies The mod should be delivered as a working compiled `.jar`, along with the source code if included in the agreed commission. Please keep the project reasonably organized so additional features can be added later. --- # Version 0.1 — Prototype For the first version, I mainly want: 1. Custom Stalker model 2. Custom animations 3. Basic spawning system 4. Distant observation behaviour 5. Line-of-sight detection 6. Repositioning when unobserved 7. Basic concealment behaviour 8. Basic audio system 9. Configurable spawn frequency 10. Basic encounter escalation It does NOT need to have every advanced feature immediately.
