We are a U.S.-based e-commerce company looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Virtual Assistant who can also help automate repetitive parts of the business. This is a long-term role for someone who can handle day-to-day e-commerce and administrative work, assist with customer phone calls, and help us build better systems that reduce manual work.

Responsibilities

Assist with customer phone calls Create and update product listings Work with product titles, descriptions, specifications, and product data Organize and clean spreadsheets Perform online research Assist with e-commerce and website administrative tasks Use ChatGPT and other AI tools to improve productivity Organize product images and files Follow detailed written procedures accurately Identify repetitive tasks that can be improved or automated Build, test, and document automations Monitor automations and troubleshoot issues Suggest better and faster ways to complete recurring work Experience with BigCommerce, Shopify, Amazon, eBay, Zapier, Make, n8n, APIs, Google Apps Script, Python, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar tools is a plus. Automotive knowledge is not required. Training will be provided. Work Hours — Required You must be available to work during New York / U.S. Eastern Time business hours. This is required because the role includes customer phone support and collaboration during normal U.S. business hours. Please do not apply if you cannot consistently work during Eastern Time. Automation Projects & Bonus In addition to normal VA responsibilities, you will be assigned specific automation projects. Each project will include: A clearly defined goal A target completion date Testing requirements Documentation requirements A reliability period Automation bonuses are separate from regular compensation. To qualify for the full bonus, an automation must: Meet the agreed requirements Work correctly in real-world use Be properly tested Be clearly documented Continue working reliably for at least 30 days Faster Completion Can Earn a Higher Bonus Each automation project will have a target completion date. Projects completed earlier may qualify for a higher bonus, provided they still work correctly and successfully complete the 30-day reliability period. The goal is to reward: Speed + Reliability + Documentation What We Are Looking For Strong spoken and written English Comfortable speaking with U.S. customers by phone Excellent attention to detail Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills Comfortable learning new software Comfortable using AI tools Interested in process improvement and automation Able to troubleshoot problems independently Reliable internet Backup internet strongly preferred Backup power strongly preferred Comfortable working U.S. Eastern Time Interested in a long-term position We are looking for someone who does more than complete tasks. We want someone who also asks: “Why are we doing this manually, and can we make it faster or automate it?” Compensation We are evaluating candidates at different experience levels. Please include your expected hourly rate or monthly compensation. Regular compensation and automation bonuses are separate.

Please explain: What the task was What tools you used How the automation worked How much time it saved Whether it continued running reliably afterward If you were given a repetitive task you did not know how to automate, what steps would you take to figure it out? Do you have backup internet? Do you have backup power? How soon could you start? Candidates selected for the next stage may be given a short paid skills and automation test.
