US Java AI Engineer Needed

I am updating an existing Java-based platform and need a U.S.-native engineer who can speak and write English effortlessly. The core assignment centers on machine learning: preparing data, training models, and wiring those models back into our Java codebase. A solid, mid-level track record in AI engineering is essential—I need someone who can own features without constant oversight yet is still open to collaborating on design choices. You will also be my in-house “Claude” expert. We rely on Anthropic’s Claude models for code generation and automated review, so prior hands-on experience prompting or integrating Claude via its API will help you ramp up quickly. Key deliverables • Clean, well-documented Java modules that expose the required ML functionality • Integration of Claude-driven components where specified (API calls, prompt engineering, result handling) • A short README or inline comments explaining build steps and configuration so I can reproduce your results I will review work against unit tests and a quick live demo. If this first milestone goes smoothly, there is continued work enhancing the system’s learning loop and language-model workflows.
