# Video Editor Needed for Short-Form Reels We are looking for a **creative and reliable video editor** to edit short-form videos/Reels for social media. We are looking for someone who can take our **raw footage** and turn it into engaging, professional, high-retention Reels suitable for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook. ## What We Need The editor should be able to create: * Instagram Reels * YouTube Shorts * Short-form promotional videos * Educational/talking-head videos * Social media content with strong hooks and pacing * Clean, modern and engaging edits ## Editing Requirements You should be comfortable with: * Removing unnecessary pauses, mistakes and dead space * Fast-paced and engaging cuts * Captions/subtitles * Highlighting important words * Zoom-ins/zoom-outs * Smooth transitions * Sound effects * Background music * B-roll and stock footage when required * Basic motion graphics * Text animations * Color correction * Audio cleanup * Creating strong hooks * Editing according to current short-form content styles * Maintaining good retention throughout the video We don't want overly complicated edits. **The final video should look clean, professional and engaging.** ## Footage & Content We will provide the **raw video footage** and necessary instructions/content. Your responsibility will be to turn the raw footage into a finished Reel ready to upload. You may also need to suggest improvements to the edit, hook, pacing or visual presentation when appropriate. ## Video Specifications * Format: 9:16 vertical * Resolution: 1080 × 1920 * Platforms: Instagram Reels / YouTube Shorts / Facebook * Typical duration: 30–90 seconds * Final output: High-quality MP4 ## Software You can use any professional editing software, but you should be experienced with at least one of the following: * Adobe Premiere Pro * After Effects * DaVinci Resolve * Final Cut Pro * CapCut Desktop Knowledge of **After Effects / motion graphics** will be considered a plus. ## Portfolio **Portfolio is REQUIRED.** Please send: 1. Your portfolio link 2. 3–5 examples of your best Reel/Short-form edits 3. Any talking-head/educational videos you have edited 4. Your preferred editing software Please **do not send only long-form YouTube videos**. We specifically want to see your short-form editing skills. ## Budget Our initial budget is: **$5–$15 USD per Reel**, depending on the complexity and quality of the edit. For a simple talking-head Reel, the price will be on the lower end. For reels requiring more advanced motion graphics, B-roll, effects, sound design, etc., we can pay more. We are interested in a **long-term working relationship**, so if your work is good and consistent, there will be regular projects and opportunities for higher rates. ## Expected Work Initially, we will assign a few videos to evaluate your editing quality. If everything works well, we can provide **regular work on a weekly/monthly basis**.
