Hero video for home-service SaaS — 30–45s, real trades footage, no dialogue.
We're a software for small home-service businesses — plumbers, HVAC techs, electricians, cleaners, landscapers, roofers, handymen. We answer their calls with AI, book the job, draft the quote, and get them paid. Our customers are owner-operators with 1–15 employees who answer their own phone from the top of a ladder. What we need A silent, looping hero video for the top of our homepage. It plays behind/beside our headline with no audio and no on-screen text — the website copy does the talking. Think "these are the people we build for, and they're winning work." Length & format 25–40 seconds, seamless loop 1920×1080 and a 1080×1350 vertical cut for mobile MP4 (H.264) and WebM, under 6MB each after compression Also deliver a still frame as a poster image (JPG/WebP) No audio track required Creative direction The whole video should feel like earned business, not stock-footage gloss. Real trades, real trucks, real driveways, real handshakes. Warm, natural light. Handheld or gentle gimbal movement — not slick corporate drone work. Slightly desaturated, filmic grade. Every shot should be 2–4 seconds max. Shot list we're after (mix and match, 8–12 shots total): A tech's phone buzzing on the truck dash while he's mid-job — he glances at it, keeps working, unbothered A plumber under a sink or at a water heater, focused HVAC tech on a rooftop or beside a condenser unit Electrician at a panel A cleaning crew finishing a room, natural light A landscaper loading a mower onto a trailer Homeowner opening the door to a uniformed pro — genuine, warm greeting Tablet or phone showing a quote being approved / a customer signing off A handshake or a "thanks so much" moment at the door Truck pulling away from a house at golden hour Owner at a kitchen table or truck cab, looking at a calendar full of booked jobs and looking relieved, not stressed Tone rules (important) No actors who look like models. Cast or source footage of people who look like they actually do this work — varied ages, builds, ethnicities, real hands. No cheesy thumbs-up-to-camera or stock-footage smiling. No visible competitor branding, no readable logos on trucks or uniforms. No screen recordings of software — we handle product UI separately. Sourcing Licensed stock footage is fine if you have access to a good library and can prove commercial licensing (Artgrid, Filmpac, Getty, etc.). Original shoots welcome if you can deliver within budget. Please state which route you're taking. All footage must come with a commercial license transferable to us, worldwide, in perpetuity, for web and paid advertising. Deliverables Final graded video in all formats above Poster still Project files (Premiere/Resolve/AE) and the source clips Written proof of licensing for every clip used Process Round 1: rough cut with placeholder/watermarked clips for approval. Round 2: graded final. Two rounds of revisions included. To bid, please include: Two or three links to similar work you've done — ideally lifestyle, trades, or brand hero loops Which footage library you'd source from, or your shoot plan Your quoted price and turnaround in calendar days Confirm you can hit our file-size targets without the footage looking mushy Bids that don't include work samples won't be reviewed.
