PROJECT TITLE Design and Build a Sophisticated Two-Three-Page Website for an Abu Dhabi Holding Company PROJECT OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced web designer to design, build and launch a simple but highly polished two-to-three-page website for a privately owned holding company based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The holding company will have interests in several businesses. The website’s primary purpose is to provide a discreet institutional presence and direct visitors to the individual portfolio companies through their logos or names. SCOPE The website will contain: • Holding company name and understated introductory statement • A short paragraph describing the company’s broad purpose • A clean portfolio section displaying the companies in which the HoldCo has interests • Each portfolio company’s name or logo linking to its own external website • Abu Dhabi location and general contact details • Basic privacy notice or footer • Responsive desktop, tablet and mobile layouts • Must make sure that emails are connected to the site • Full technical handling of launching the website, including domain connection and ensuring SSL/HTTPS functionality DESIGN DIRECTION The website should feel: • Sophisticated and understated • Contemporary but not fashionable or trend-driven • Institutional and credible without overstating the company’s size • Editorial, spacious and typographically strong • Appropriate for a privately owned Abu Dhabi investment and operating group We do not want a conventional Dubai-style corporate website, elaborate animations, financial clichés, stock-market graphics, skyscraper photographs, handshakes or generic “global investment” imagery. The quality of the typography, proportions, spacing and presentation will be particularly important. PLATFORM AND FUTURE EDITING Our preference is Framer, although we will consider another managed platform if there is a compelling reason. The website will need to be updated periodically as the holding company acquires interests in additional businesses. It must therefore be built so that we can easily: Add or remove portfolio companies Change company logos and descriptions Update links to portfolio-company websites Amend the introductory copy and contact information The completed website must be transferred into an account owned and controlled by us. We should not require the original designer—or an ongoing maintenance contract—to make ordinary content changes. The designer must provide a short written or recorded handover showing us how to make these updates. DOMAIN CONNECTION We already own the relevant .ae domain. The selected designer will be expected either to connect the completed website to this domain or guide us clearly through the process. The domain must remain registered in and controlled through our own account; it should not be transferred into the designer’s ownership. The designer should identify any information or DNS changes required from our domain provider and confirm that SSL/HTTPS is working correctly before completion. The company name may remain a placeholder during the initial design stage. TIMING AND BUDGET Target completion: two to three weeks from appointment. Indicative fixed budget: US$800–1,500, depending on portfolio quality and the proposed approach.
