I specifically need a standalone desktop or cross-platform application rather than a website or mobile app, so please focus your solution accordingly. The goal is to load structured data (CSV, Excel, or a simple database), explore it quickly through filtering and pivot-style summaries, run common statistical or machine-learning routines, and then export clean visual or tabular reports. You’re free to choose the tech stack you feel delivers the best user experience—Python (PyQt, Tkinter, or Electron with a Python backend) or a modern compiled language such as C#/.NET or Java are all acceptable. What matters is that the interface remains intuitive for non-technical staff, computations are performant on mid-range hardware, and the codebase is well documented for future maintenance. Core deliverables • An installable application (Windows first; macOS/Linux portability is a plus) • Source code in a public or private repository with clear build instructions • A concise user guide covering installation, typical analysis workflows, and report generation Acceptance criteria • Successful import of sample CSV and Excel files up to 500k rows without crashes • Ability to create at least three chart types (bar, line, scatter) from selected fields • Export of results to PDF and Excel that matches on-screen formatting • Code passes basic linting/tests and contains inline comments explaining key functions Once these items are met, I’ll perform a short UAT session; any critical bugs uncovered there should be addressed before final sign-off.
