Bahasa Technical Translation Quality Review

I have a batch of technical manuals that have already been translated into Bahasa Melayu and Bahasa Indonesia. Before they reach end-users I need a meticulous quality review that checks accuracy, tone, consistency, and technical correctness.

What you will do

• Review every sentence in both Bahasa versions against the English source, confirming that figures, units, warnings, UI strings, and troubleshooting steps are conveyed precisely. • Highlight mistranslations, omissions, style issues, and any ambiguity, using tracked changes or comments within the files. • Compile a bilingual glossary while you work—capture all recurring technical terms, abbreviations, and product-specific phrases with their approved equivalents so future updates remain consistent. • Deliver a short QA report summarising the error types you found and overall quality rating. Files arrive in editable Word and occasionally InDesign exports, so familiarity with Word, Adobe Acrobat, or CAT tools such as memoQ/Trados for quicker comparison is welcome, though not mandatory. Acceptance criteria 1. Clean, publication-ready Bahasa Melayu and Bahasa Indonesia manuals returned in their original layout. 2. Glossary provided in Excel or CSV with at least the 200 most frequent terms. 3. QA report outlining methodology plus any unresolved queries.
