AI Integration & Intelligent Support Assistant for Existing Custom ERP Software We have a custom-built business management/ERP software currently being used by a company. The system includes multiple modules, including: Sales Purchase Accounts Warehouse HR & Payroll Inventory Other business-specific modules The existing software is built on .NET Framework. We are now looking for an AI expert/AI solutions architect who can review the existing system and provide a practical approach for incorporating AI into it. 1. AI for Higher Management We want to introduce an AI layer specifically for higher management/executives. The objective is to allow management to interact with the system using natural language and get meaningful insights from the company's existing data. For example: "What were our total sales this month?" "Which products have declining sales?" "Which customers have outstanding payments?" "Compare this month's sales with last month." "Which warehouse has the highest inventory?" "What are our biggest purchasing expenses?" "Show me employees with attendance or payroll-related issues." "What business areas require management attention?" The AI should ideally understand the underlying ERP data and provide useful answers, summaries, trends, and potentially recommendations. We are not looking for a simple ChatGPT API integration. We need someone who understands how AI can be safely integrated with an existing business application and database. 2. AI Knowledge-Based Support Chatbot for Employees The second requirement is an AI chatbot for existing and new employees/users. Our support team currently handles user problems related to the software. When users face an issue, they generally open a support ticket, which is then assigned to the support/development team. We want to reduce this dependency. The chatbot should be trained/connected to our existing knowledge base, documentation, SOPs, previous support resolutions, and relevant system information. A user should be able to ask something like: "I cannot create a purchase order. What could be wrong?" The AI should identify the likely problem and provide step-by-step instructions based on our actual system and support knowledge. Another example: "Why am I unable to post this invoice?" The chatbot should explain possible causes and the appropriate solution. The goal is that users can resolve common issues themselves without opening a ticket for every problem. Important The chatbot should not simply generate generic answers from ChatGPT. It needs to provide answers based on our company's actual software, processes, documentation, and historical support knowledge. We are interested in approaches such as RAG, vector search, knowledge bases, structured data access, tool/function calling, or other appropriate architectures, depending on what you recommend after reviewing the system. What We Need From You We are looking for an AI expert / AI architect / senior AI developer, not a beginner. You should be able to: Understand an existing .NET Framework application. Analyze how AI can be integrated without unnecessarily rebuilding the existing system. Recommend an appropriate AI architecture. Work with existing databases and business data. Design secure access to ERP data. Implement an AI management/analytics layer. Build a knowledge-based support chatbot. Recommend an appropriate RAG/LLM/vector database architecture where applicable. Consider user permissions and data security. Explain how the solution can be deployed and maintained in a production environment. Required Experience You MUST have previous, relevant AI implementation experience. Please do not bid if your experience is limited to basic chatbot development, ChatGPT API calls, or tutorials. We specifically want to see real examples of work that are reasonably close to this project, particularly: AI integration with existing business/ERP software AI assistants working with business databases RAG/knowledge-based chatbots Internal enterprise AI assistants AI analytics/reporting assistants AI agents connected to existing software AI-powered support/helpdesk systems VERY IMPORTANT Your proposal MUST include relevant work samples. Please provide links, screenshots, demos, GitHub repositories, case studies, or other evidence of previous work. If you do not have examples that reasonably match these requirements, please do not bid. Generic AI/ChatGPT chatbot examples will not be considered relevant. We are explicitly asking for an expert who has solved similar problems before. We do not want to spend time explaining the fundamentals of AI architecture to someone learning on our project. How would you handle security and user permissions when AI accesses ERP data? What information/technical access would you need from us to evaluate the project? We are open to your recommendations regarding the LLM, RAG architecture, vector database, AI framework, hosting, and overall implementation approach. The right candidate will first understand the existing system and requirements, then recommend the appropriate architecture rather than forcing a predetermined technology. Expert-level experience is required. Relevant work samples are mandatory.
