Short Film Sound Recordist

I’m shooting a short narrative piece entirely outdoors and need a skilled sound recordist to capture production audio on location. Clean dialogue is the priority, so you’ll be working with a boom microphone setup throughout the day, tracking every take while keeping wind and environmental noise under control. Bring your own professional boom, shock-mount, windshield, field recorder, and monitoring headphones. At wrap I’ll need the raw, high-resolution WAV files plus a brief sound report noting scene, take, and any issues; syncing will be handled later. You should feel confident balancing multiple actors’ voices in an open space, riding levels live, and solving any on-set audio hiccups quickly so we don’t lose momentum.
